Initially the hippocampus was dissected and extracted for proteome profiling using nano SWATH-MS – nano flow data independent tandem mass spectrometry acquisition mode with variable windows to facilitate protein quantification. As the altered hippocampal proteome implied the changes in metabolic processes, the metabolome profiling was performed on three different brain regions using micro HILIC-DDA-MS – capillary flow hydrophilic interaction chromatography coupled with data dependent tandem mass spectrometry acquisition mode to facilitate metabolite identification.
