CENPB promotes the proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma and is directly regulated by miR-29a

class="figure-viewer-img"

Figure 7. CENPB is directly negatively regulated by miR-29a in HCC cells. (A, B) The expression of CENPB increased gradually in LO2, Hep3B, and MHCC97 cell lines (A), whereas miR-29a expression decreased (B). (C, D) miR-29a mimics were transfected into Hep3B (C) and MHCC97 (D) cell lines, and the successful transfection was confirmed through qPCR assays. (E, F) The transfection of miR-29a mimics resulted in a reduction of CENPB expression in both Hep3B (E) and MHCC97 (F) cell lines. (G) The 3’UTR of CENPB was identified as the binding site for the 5’UTR of miR-29a. (H, I) A dual-luciferase gene reporter assay revealed the transfection of miR-29a mimics led to a decrease in luciferase activity in CENPB-WT Hep3B (H) and MHCC97 (I) cells.
