A logistic regression model was used to investigate the association between baseline plasma EV-derived cytokine (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, and TGF-β) levels and motor symptoms (as assessed using their scores on Parts II and III of the UPDRS and their tremor, akinetic rigidity [AR], and postural instability and gait disturbance [PIGD] subscores) as well as cognitive function (as assessed using their MMSE and MoCA scores).
