HCN2 cells were transfected with a scrambled siRNA control or with siRNA molecules to knock down the expression of Beclin1, ATG5, ULK1, eIF2α or PERK. After 24h, cells were treated for 6h with vehicle control or with AR12 (2 μM). Cells were fixed in place and immunostaining performed to detect the expression of BAG3 and ERK2 (n = 3 +/-SD) # p < 0.05 greater than vehicle control.
