Endothelin-1-mediated miR-let-7g-5p triggers interlukin-6 and TNF-α to cause myopathy and chronic adipose inflammation in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus

(AE) Cells were incubated with ET-1 (10–50 nM) and the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α mRNA and protein expression were examined by EILSA, qPCR, and Western blot assays. (FI) Cells were pretreated with ETRs inhibitors BQ123 (5 μM) and BQ788 (5 μM) then stimulated with ET-1. The IL-6 and TNF-α mRNA and protein expression levels were examined by EILSA and qPCR assays. Results are expressed of four independent experiments performed in triplicate. *p < 0.05 compared with control; #p < 0.05 compared with the ET-1–treated group.
