The protein and mRNA levels of E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Vimentin, and FOXM1 in HCT-8 cells transfected with pcDNA3.1 or pcDNA3.1-FOXM1 for 72 h (A, B), HCT-8/L-OHP and HCT-8/VCR cells transfected with shNC or shFOXM1 for 72 h (C–F). Cell extracts of each sample were prepared and analyzed for protein expression by Western blotting or for mRNA expression by qRT-PCR. For the western blotting, each immunoblot is representative of three separate experiments. For the qRT-PCR, the relative mRNA expression levels were normalized to the fold change that was detected in the corresponding control cells, which was defined as 1.0.
