Cell extracts of each sample were prepared and analyzed for protein expression by Western blotting or for mRNA expression by qRT-PCR. For the western blotting, each immunoblot is representative of three separate experiments. For the qRT-PCR, the relative mRNA expression levels were normalized to the fold change that was detected in the corresponding control cells, which was defined as 1.0.
