LNCaP (prostate carcinoma) or MCF7 (breast carcinoma) cells were treated for 24 hours with PI3K inhibitor LY294002. The levels of miR-506 were measured using quantitative PCR with RNU6B as an internal standard, and normalized to those in untreated controls.
