The single deletion strains for YKL003C (encoding for Mrp17p) and YHR075C (encoding for Ppe1p), both of the mitochondrial ribosomal small subunit, were tested for their lifespan. The strains were constructed in the BY4741 background. The measured lifespans were not significantly different from wild type (p<0.02).
