UBE2M promotes cell proliferation via the β-catenin/cyclin D1 signaling in hepatocellular carcinoma

class="figure-viewer-img"

Figure 2. UBE2M promotes cell proliferation in vitro. (A) UBE2M knockdown significantly inhibited growth rate in UBE2M-silencing PLC/PRF/5 and MHCC-97L cells, while UBE2M overexpression significantly promoted growth rate in UBE2M-overexpressing SMCC-7721 and BEL-7402 cells, as revealed by CCK-8 assay. (B) The mean colony number was drastically reduced in UBE2M-silencing cells and was significantly increased in UBE2M-overexpressing cells, as determined by colony formation assay. (C) UBE2M knockdown significantly inhibited G1/S transition, while UBE2M overexpression remarkably induced G1/S transition, as measured by flow cytometry. Data were presented as mean ± SD (n=3). *P < 0.05; **P < 0.01; ***P < 0.001 (Student’s t-test).
